We have just returned from an incredible three-day mission to Gondar, where we witnessed firsthand the harsh conditions in which these individuals grew up. But more importantly, we were able to see how vibrant Jewish life is thriving in that community. This mission and the delegation have been truly inspiring, touching our hearts deeply. It highlights the collaborative effort of our leaders, donors, and supporters from all corners of the globe. Together, we are working tirelessly for the people of Israel, embodying the principle of “Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh Bazeh” – we are all responsible for one another.
One of the highlights of our mission was visiting the homes of Ethiopian Jews who have made Aliyah. Seeing the children’s eyes filled with hope and witnessing the families’ optimism was incredibly rewarding. Being part of an organization dedicated to saving lives, particularly Jewish lives, and reuniting families in Israel, is a humbling experience that resonates deeply.
At the airport, we bid farewell to nearly 100 new immigrants from Ethiopia, embarking on a new journey in Israel. The emotional and inspirational send-off was truly moving and difficult to articulate in words. We wish these new immigrants all the success and blessings as they start their new lives in Israel. Their resilience and determination serve as a reminder of the transformative impact of our collective efforts in ensuring a brighter future for all those seeking refuge and opportunity in the homeland.
