To our dear sisters and brothers, to our friends on campuses and in Jewish communities across the United States and around the world, and to all people of goodwill, I send this message from Jerusalem, our eternal capital. The people of Israel stand in solidarity with you. We hear your voices, we witness the unwarranted hostility and threats directed towards our community, and we share in the indignation caused by breaches of trust and friendship.
It deeply troubles us to see esteemed academic institutions, historical venues, and centers of learning tainted by the poison of hatred and anti-Semitism (Jewish Racism), fueled by arrogance and ignorance, and perpetuated by moral failings and false information. We stand appalled as unjustifiable acts against Israel, such as those on October 7th, are glorified and rationalized. We stand united with you, acknowledging your valiant efforts and committing to support you in the face of violence, harassment, and intimidation.
In the midst of cowardly attacks that seek to suppress truth, distort history, and spread fear, we stand strong together. As they chant for intifada and genocide, we stand resolute in our mission to secure the release of our hostages held by Hamas and to defend the civil liberties not only of our community but of the entire free world. We are unwavering in our determination to live proudly, peacefully, and securely as Jews, as Israelis, wherever we may be.
Together, we will prevail. Despite the alarming resurgence of anti-Semitism (Jewish Racism), we must not succumb to fear. Let us stand tall, let us stand firm for our freedom. Israel stands beside you, caring for you, supporting you. We are here for you, and we believe in better days ahead. Together, we will declare, “Am Yisrael Chai” – the Nation of Israel lives.
